2020 Senior Convocation

Senior Convocation will be held on Thursday, May 14, at 2:00 pm in McDonough Arena (the gym). Although the Convocation inaugurates the University’s official undergraduate commencement events, no student degrees are conferred at that event. Please understand that, although we would be delighted if you can join us, missing the Convocation does not mean that you will miss any essential event in your student’s graduation. Seating in the gym itself is limited so not all guests can be accommodated there. Each family will receive two tickets for seating in either the gym or in a tent located near McDonough. Actual seating in both locations will be first come first served on the day of the event.

So that everyone will know where they will be seated when they arrive for the event, we will again use an online registration system to allocate gym seats in advance. In early April, all seniors will be sent an email with the link to register. Registration will begin at 10:00 pm on Monday, April 6th. Seniors who sign up immediately after the start time will have the best chance of receiving tickets for seats inside the gym. Seniors who sign up after indoor seating capacity has been reached will receive tickets for seating in the tent outside the gym. Students will be required to pick up the assigned tickets and sign for them in person from Monday, April 20 to Friday, April 24, 2020, between 12 noon and 5:00 pm in the ICC Galleria. If you are unable to pick them up during this time, you will receive instructions on how to have them mailed to you.
